Indel motion boards are universal CPU boards for use as a compact control system (without fieldbus), as a fieldbus master or as a fieldbus slave. They feature motor output stages, encoder signal evaluation and analogue and digital inputs and outputs.
As CPU boards of a compact control system or as a fieldbus master, the motion boards execute customer-specific machine software on the basis of Indel’s INOS real-time operating system. They control and coordinate all fieldbus peripherals: analogue and digital inputs and outputs, axes, counters, customer electronics etc.
Where a motion board is used as a fieldbus slave, it receives its control signals from the fieldbus master above it. It takes care of controlling the axes and selecting the inputs and outputs. Excess CPU capacity can be used for the execution of customer algorithms.
Communication between the motion boards and a PC-based HMI is via Ethernet.
GIN-AX
The Indel Gin-AX is optimised for axis control. In addition to its motor outputs, analogue and digital inputs and outputs are provided for connecting other peripherals. For detecting the axis positions the Indel Gin-AX features digital and analogue encoder inputs. The high-performance CPU allows high-end axis control with high sampling rates.
GIN-MAX
The Indel Gin-MAX features a high density and wide range of peripherals in a small space. Its plug-in connector board, which holds all the connections, can be swapped and can be modified to suit specific customer applications. The up to ten motor output stages can drive motors rated at up to 5 A.
