Software for Indel control systems is programmed in IMD, the integrated development environment (IDE) developed by Indel: source file management, compiling and linking, software download to the embedded system, source-level debugging, analysis of machine software, etc.
The look and feel of IMD is based on that of Microsoft Visual Studio, which means positive outcomes for training time. The IDE has a powerful debugger that offers, in addition to the usual basic functionalities, additional functions that are useful for developing multi-tasking applications in a real-time environment.
Thanks to this IDE, the development of embedded software for Indel control systems is comparable to that for PC software.

iDev - Indel Developer Studio

Work is currently in progress on iDev, the successor to IMD. iDev is a completely revised development environment based on Eclipse. The principal advantages of iDev over IMD are Linux support and the powerful plugin system. The latter enables iDev to be expanded in almost any way by additional functionalities from third-party providers of UML tools, code checkers, project management etc.
