In addition to the IMD development environment, with which the actual machine software is written, Indel offers numerous tools to support the software developer. Some of the functions of these aids are:
- to read, display and store log messages from the machine software
- to visualise the machine sequences: axis movements, I/O changes etc.
- to display operating system statistics: task switches, latencies etc.
INIX Framework
One of the final milestones in the tool development process was the introduction of a completely rewritten tool collection based on our own HMI/GUI framework known as INIX. This new development enabled us to pack the knowledge gained over the past 15-20 years still more innovatively and consistently into the software than before. Thanks to this new INIX-based development, all these tools can now also run on Linux.
