The HMI is normally developed by the customer. Where required, however, Indel’s engineering division is available to assist.
To enable the application to communicate with the Indel embedded system, it must only use the dynamic library (.dll, .so, …) of the Indel communications layer (INCO). This provides a C interface and can thus be addressed in practically any programming language.
The Indel system thus leaves the customer complete freedom to select the programming language, GUI framework, etc. Likewise, the customer is basically free to select the operating system of his choice. If necessary a transfer can be arranged onto an operating system that is not currently supported.
The customer has the option of building his application on the INIX framework developed by Indel. This framework is the basis of all Indel tools and offers numerous components and classes that make creating a HMI substantially easier.
