Communications Layer

Produktname: INCO
arch_desk_inco

For communications with Indel embedded systems, Indel offers its INCO (INdel COnnectivity) protocol. In essence, INCO supports the following operations:

  • reading variables
  • writing variables
  • invoking functions (RPC)
  • reading from/writing to memory
  • debugging commands for the embedded system

The customer can access any of the variables and functions provided by the embedded system from the customer application.

Every Indel embedded system innately offers access to all important variables and functions so that each of these systems can be addressed in exactly the same way. The registered information includes all peripheral statuses (the process image), e.g. the axis positions, the statuses of digital inputs and outputs and the current values of ADCs and DACs. All this information can thus be displayed easily in a HMI.

Facts

Efficiency Over 10,000 accesses per seconds (current Windows-PCs, Indel SAM3)
Remote access Access to remote systems from client software
Extendable Any variablen or funktionen of the machine software can be registered
Generic INCOExplorer can show any registered variable or function of any Indel system
